ASUMO awarded project

by Admin Beamagine in News

Beamagine is participating in the development of the ASUMO Project – Architecture for Autonomy and Situational Awareness for UAS and Air Mobility, which aims to research the autonomous flight capabilities necessary for an autonomous, efficient, and flexible logistics ecosystem. This ecosystem would include the operation of cargo and passenger drones, ensuring compatibility with safe flight and airspace management.

ASUMO will provide a system architecture for autonomy and technological building blocks for situational awareness. It will also investigate the development of autonomous flight procedures that are adaptable to different aerial vehicle configurations, optimizing noise reduction and energy efficiency. These solutions will be scalable and adaptable to various aerial vehicle types, for both cargo and passenger transport.

The consortium developing the project consists of AIRBUS DEFENCE AND SPACE, ADVANCED RADAR TECHNOLOGIES, BEAMAGINE, and PILDO LABS.

This project has been funded by CDTI, with the support of the Ministry of Science and Innovation, under file number MIG-20241006, through the 2024 call of the Science and Innovation Missions Program, within the Technology Transfer and Collaboration Program of the 2024-2027 State Plan for Scientific, Technical, and Innovation Research, as part of the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan.
