Beamagine is participating in the development of the ASUMO Project – Architecture for Autonomy and Situational Awareness for UAS and Air Mobility, which aims to advance autonomous flight capabilities for a more efficient, flexible, and scalable logistics ecosystem. This includes the operation of both cargo and passenger drones, ensuring safe flight and integration within airspace management systems.
ASUMO will deliver a system architecture for autonomy along with key technological building blocks for situational awareness. It will also explore autonomous flight procedures adaptable to different aerial vehicle configurations, with a focus on noise reduction and energy efficiency. These solutions are designed to be scalable and applicable across multiple types of aerial platforms for both cargo and passenger transport.
The project is being developed by a consortium formed by AIRBUS DEFENCE AND SPACE, ADVANCED RADAR TECHNOLOGIES, BEAMAGINE, and PILDO LABS.
